String(s)
There is a library. It's old, huge, and filled with a collection of a single series of books. These books are prophetic, telling everything that ever has or will happen. But they are also awful, badly written, not numbered, out of order, and with unhelpful titles so that no single person could ever hope to decipher them. No one knows where the book came from, they've always just been there, written under a pen name (and a horrible one a that). You are its sole librarian. The Library has been passed down your family through generations, to a single member that then becomes estranged from the rest of it. It wasn't really your choice, but it is your duty, and you intend to keep it. One day, while browsing through the books, you notice one of them is bookmarked by a piece of string...
String(s) is a little game that I made for class, except I got way too into it and made it eighteen times longer than it needed to be, so I figured I'd share it with the world. This game features:
- Bad writing reminiscent of the fanfiction you (probably) wrote in middle school;
- Over 18,000 words of gameplay;
- 3 distinct endings;
- And a surprisingly dark plot twist that I hope I somewhat accomplished on foreshadowing.
I plan to maybe add images to this and make it look nicer in the future, so stay tuned for that if you so wish.
Hope you enjoy! :)
